glyphs

This glyphs series grew out of my creation of different sets of symbols and character systems. This work was made in close proximity with the digital drawings series. I used these glyphs in an interactive installation that used proximity detectors to trigger solenoids that would strike tibetan singing bowls. As the singing bowls sounded, above each bowl on of these images would appear on a monitor and then slowly fade as the bowl sound faded.

The glyph series was also an exploration of color and pushing the glyphs down in value to the point that they were almost subliminal.
